Our business name, Five Point Consulting, was inspired by the five stages that form our financial planning process.
The Five Points are:
The first step in our process in an initial meeting, at which we complete our comprehensive ‘fact find’. This meeting is at our expense and there’s no obligation to move onto the next stage. At the initial meeting, we will outline the fees we will charge for when you do proceed.
We will then undertake internal evaluation and research in order to assess how your existing arrangements match your ambitions; assessing any gaps and revising these to bring you back ‘on track’.
Our findings will then be presented to you in a report that details where you stand today, where you wish to get to, and the route required to achieve this.
Once our recommendations are confirmed with you, we will then go on to the implementation stage. We will put in place the agreed arrangements and ensure that all documentation provided is fully explained to you.
On a regular basis, we will review your arrangements to ensure they coincide with your evolving goals. We’ll recommend any alterations that may be required; for example, rebalancing your asset allocations.
What our clients say
“We find this relationship to work admirably for us. David is the expert in a field in which we could never hope to be so proficient. We have every intention of maintaining this relationship long into the future.”
Clients since 2003
“David’s financial planning advice and knowledge is excellent, and he talks to me in terms I can understand, not financial jargon! I don’t have to look too closely at what is happening, as I know David will be doing that.”
