Got further questions? Just get in touch.
Where are meetings held?
Because many of our clients live locally to us in Wetherby, Harrogate and York, we are happy to come to you in the comfort of your home for meetings. This means we can work around your schedule, making it easier than ever to get bespoke financial advice without the hassle of travel.
Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?
The initial meeting is at our expense and there’s no obligation to move onto the next stage. It’s simply a chance for us to get to know you, your situation and goals; and for you to establish if we’re the right firm for you.
What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?
Please bring along details of existing savings, investments, pensions and life insurance, as well as details of income and a breakdown of your current expenditure.
How long should I allow for an initial meeting?
Typically, around 1h 30m.
Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?
Absolutely not. We encourage you to go away and think about our discussion before you decide to proceed.
How can I book an initial meeting?
You can call or email us, or alternatively complete a contact form. All the details you need can be found here.
Are you independent?
Yes. Being independent, we can recommend financial solutions from the whole market. We have no affiliation to any particular financial product or provider, so there’s no hard sell; we simply recommend the best thing for you.
Are you regulated?
We are directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and you can find our entry on the FCA register here.
What happens if my Financial Planner is away on holiday?
We have two Financial Planners, David McCabe and Helena Macnab, so even if your dedicated adviser is away you will always have access to a qualified financial professional.
Do you take a percentage or are your fees fixed?
It’s a combination. We normally charge a fixed fee for our report and recommendations; if you’re happy to proceed, we then charge an implementation charge of 1% of the amount being invested. You can learn more about our fees here.
Do you get commission?
Only from protection products (e.g. life/critical illness insurance).
Do you charge VAT?
No.
